Founder · Primary Practitioner
An engineer who approaches wellness more like a mechanic than a therapist.
Born in Madison in 1976. Spent a long stretch in San Francisco before moving back to Wisconsin around COVID to be closer to family. The kind of person who takes things apart to understand them — software, hardware, hydraulics, the body.
Lifelong struggle with energy and depression led to a deep curiosity about how the body actually makes energy. Discovered HBOT through his stepmom Jackie's $40,000 hard chamber. The first session instantly improved his symptoms. He's been building dreamlab around that experience ever since.
Jonathan is the founder and primary practitioner. He runs sessions, designs protocols, writes the science pages, builds the systems, and decides what dreamlab does and doesn't take on. He is not a doctor or a licensed clinician, and dreamlab is not a medical practice. His role is closer to engineer-in-residence: getting your cells what they need in terms of oxygen and light, and trusting your body to do the rest.
Jonathan works in close partnership with AI tools for research synthesis, writing, and system design. The thousands of papers across HBOT and photobiomodulation are impossible for one person to keep current with; AI reads them faster, and a human decides what's true enough to put in front of a member. The site you're reading, the protocols, and the membership systems were all built that way. More on how AI is used.
