visiting dreamlab

For equine work, the property is the room — the pasture, the barnyard, and the herd you’ll spend the session with.

Getting Here

Dreamlab is a small, private place on rural land about 15 minutes south of Madison. We don’t publish the address — the exact location and directions arrive with your booking confirmation. It’s an easy drive; you’ll know you’re close when the road quiets down and the fields open up.

When You Arrive
Drive in
Past the studio, to the houseYou’ll pass the studio — an art studio and workshop — on your way in. Keep going to the house.
Park
Just past the housePull in and park just past the house, then walk back about 20–30 meters to the front door.
Ring the bell
We’ll meet youRing the doorbell and one of us will greet you. From there, you’ll head out to the barnyard together to meet your facilitators and the horses. You’re never left waiting.
The Property

It’s a quiet stretch of land — a creek and woods along one edge, open pasture, a barn and barnyard, and a small herd of four or five horses. The equine work happens out here, on the ground, in the space the horses live in. It’s a home and a working property, not a facility, and that’s the point: the horses are at ease because it’s theirs, and that’s what lets the work happen.

What To Wear

Dress for being outdoors and on your feet: closed-toe shoes you don’t mind getting dusty, and layers for the day’s weather. No horse experience is needed and you won’t be riding — this is ground-based work. What a session actually involves is on what to expect.

Before & After

There’s a bathroom in the house you’re welcome to use before or after. We always meet you in person — no checking in, no waiting room. Afterward, there’s a quiet beverage and a minute to land before you head out; your facilitators will also make space to talk through whatever the session brought up.

Weather. Equine sessions happen outdoors, so if the weather turns genuinely bad we’ll simply reschedule — no charge, no fuss. The walk to the barnyard is over grass and uneven ground; if that’s a concern, let us know when you book and we’ll plan around it.
