A letter from the founder.

Hi, I'm Jonathan. Born in Madison in 1976, almost 50 now. I've struggled with energy and depression my whole life, and it's led me to a curiosity and passion for human well-being.

When I moved back from San Francisco around COVID to be closer to family, I started spending time in the workshop at the family house — projects at the intersection of creativity, art, science, and toolmaking.

I discovered hyperbaric oxygen therapy through my stepmom, Jackie, who has a condition that warrants it. I got exposure to HBOT using her $40,000 hard chamber, and it instantly improved my symptoms.

I love hyperbaric oxygen therapy because it sits at the intersection of wellness and technology. It's simple. It uses a well-established method of action. It's relatively safe. Almost no side effects. And it's the only thing that works for a lot of conditions, it seems like.

I'm not a doctor or a clinician, but I am an engineer, and I know how things work and how to make them work. I approach my work at Dreamlab more like a mechanic than a therapist. I see my job as getting your cells what they need in terms of oxygen and light.

I believe your body has everything it needs to do the rest.

I believe that all of us are impoverished in various ways that aren't obvious — socially, financially, in housing, in food and diet, even impoverished in our ability to contribute to the world. Another one of those poverties is in our cells. Our cells are impoverished for energy — ATP.

By using technology, we can put the building blocks of a healthy, energetic person — ATP — right next to the factories where the ATP is produced.

nutrients + oxygen the raw materials
mitochondria the cell's factories
ATP cellular energy
how cells make energy — simplified

My hope is that you find a new level of wellness — consistent, even, reliable — and that through pressure and light, you come to know yourself as happier, healthier, and more able to contribute to those around you than you ever have before.
